A Night of Celebration and Recognition
A very special evening of holiday celebration was enjoyed by 70 members and guests at the Holiday Inn in New London. The night began with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, giving guests the opportunity to mingle and reconnect.
The highlight of the evening was the honoring of Lynne Magee, one of the Center’s original members and a volunteer for more than 50 years. Guest speaker State Senator Cathy Osten presented a proclamation from Governor Ned Lamont officially declaring December 11, 2025, as “Lynne Magee Day.”
Festivities continued with a Secret Santa gift exchange among members, followed by a raffle made possible through generous donations of gift baskets and gift cards. Congratulations to all of the winners, and heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed.
The Center of the Blind is truly grateful for so many reasons, most of all for our members, volunteers, families, and friends who come together as a community of inspiration, support, and hope for all.
