On September 23, five Center Members took a stroll at the Roger Tory Petterson Estuary Center. With our Merlin App in hand, we heard about a dozen birds. It was the perfect day for a stroll: a bit overcast, mid-seventies, and with just a touch of humidity. Members partook of the StoryWalk® in memory of the late Agnes O’Connor, with Jane S. reading the story aloud. The story was a gripping tale that follows the honeybee as they search for pollen, gather, bring it to their hive, and make honey. After that some of the braver members tried out the wooden rope swing and discovered that it is quite impossible not to smile while on a rope swing, under a beautiful tree overlooking the water. After the fun, our merry group of travelers dined on finger sandwiches, fruit salad, chips and cookies donated by Margaret P.
