Board Transitions and Celebration at Wood N’ Tap

On January 22, 28 Center Members gathered at Wood N’ Tap in Groton to bid Kevin Harkins a happy retirement from the Board of Directors and pass the baton to a new Vice President. Tammy Paradis nominated our “techie guru”, Mr. Michael Coughlin for the position and he graciously accepted. The “ayes” took the night and Michael has officially been declared the next South East CT Community Center of the Blind Board Vice President. Michael joins the ranks of our Executive Board, who were all voted in for another round of leadership: Scott Skinner, President, Tammy Paradis, Secretary, and Marni Ouellette, Treasurer.

After the well-wishing, nominating, voting, and clapping, members were ready for the delicious food that awaited. Wood N’ Tap lived up to its reputation, the service was excellent and the food was even better. We chatted the snow “scaries” away with an abundance of joy, meeting new friends, catching up with old ones, and regaling everyone with tales of holiday happenings and joyful family news.
