Kevin Harkins Receives Lions Humanitarian Award

The Lions Humanitarian Award is the highest honor bestowed by the Lions association. It is presented to individuals or organizations whose humanitarian efforts exemplify extraordinary service and commitment to others.

We are proud to share that our very own Kevin Harkins, Past Vice President of the South East CT Community Center of the Blind, was nominated for this prestigious award by the Norwich Lions Club.

A ceremonial buffet honoring award recipients from the Eastern Connecticut district was held on Sunday, January 18th at Solemo (formerly Port & Starboard). The event brought together community leaders and supporters to celebrate those whose dedication has made a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

The Center is incredibly proud of Kevin for receiving this well-deserved honor. His longstanding commitment to advocacy and service reflects the very spirit of humanitarianism this award represents.
