Lunch & Learn with VITA: Step One

We have a wonderful opportunity to partner with VITA and assist members in financial literacy and 2025 tax preparation.
Our November Lunch and Learn is the first step in this process: on November 4 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the SE CT Community Center of the Blind, we will learn about the process to file your taxes, for free, with VITA certified volunteers and learn about their Money School. VITA hosts 90-minute workshops on a variety of topics, including, but not limited to: budgeting, investing, and home ownership. All classes are taught by financial professionals.
If you are interested in any of these services, I strongly encourage you to attend this Lunch and Learn, as this will determine if we have enough interest to move forward with these services. If we do not have enough interest, we will not move forward with this program.
Space is limited, so please RSVP early. Due to the nature of this amazing opportunity, this Lunch and Learn will be open to the public.
