Spring Open House Dazzles Community

The Center welcomed over sixty visitors, including community members, local dignitaries, and Center Members, to our Spring Open House on April 3. The event proved to be a resounding success, offering guests a firsthand look at our innovative work and warm community spirit.

Visitors experienced exciting technology demonstrations throughout the day. Mike C showcased the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses, with Kevin H providing expert commentary as the event’s announcer. David Holmes presented his invention, developed with valuable input from our Macular Degeneration Support Group participants. United Cerebral Palsy transformed our retail space to display adaptive technologies available through their lending library.

The event attracted curious newcomers eager to learn about the Center’s mission and services. Local officials networked and exchanged business cards, laying groundwork for future collaborations. We were especially pleased to welcome a Professional Member who came to witness the impact of their membership support.

The Open House truly embodied a team effort. Thank you to everyone who contributed, from baking treats and packing goody bags to providing transportation, staffing demonstrations, and greeting guests with enthusiasm. Your collective efforts made this day truly special and helped strengthen our connections within the community.
